how to connect a mag 315 to pda?

Dear GPS fans!

I own a Magellan GPS 315 receiver and the standard connecting cable which
includes a car battery connector and a serial connector. I really enjoy downloading
routes and analyzing them on my PC.

Yet now, I would like to enhance the usefulness of my GPS by purchasing a PDA/Pocket PC, connecting the two devices and using a mapping software while navigating.

My question is the following: Is there any way to connect the mentioned unit (perhaps using the connecting cable I own) to a PDA/Pocket PC?? The PDAs have only a USB input slot...
