You don't need any additional software, you just need to copy the Safety Camera database files (.ov2 and .bmp) from our download into the Map Folder (i.e. Great_Britain) on your 6600's storage card.

The simplest method is by using a card reader connected to your PC. The other way is using Nokia's PC Sync Software.

Have you enabled the POI's for 'warn when near'?

Which would suggest you have made a mistake when copying the files somewhere along the line.

You should have a .ov2 and a .bmp file for each camera category located in your map folder (i.e. the Great_Britain_Map folder). the .ov2 file contains the location data e.g. pocketgps_uk_gatso.ov2 and the corresponding .bmp file is the icon for that database.

Double check that the correct files exist in the map folder (you should extract these from the downloaded .zip file) then power off and on the phone and check to see that they are available in the POI Preferences section.

Well for starters you're copying too many files. The speed zoned files are not intended for TT Mobile (nor GO, Palm or HP Versions).

Ignore the 'speed zoned' folder and its contents. You'll need to remove all the others that you have previously copied over then as an experiment just copy the pocketgps_uk_gatso.ov2 and pocketgps_uk_gatso.bmp files from the root of the archive into your map folder.

I hope you did get it sorted in the end, but just in case...

I had the same problem, drove me mad for days!!

You did do as suggested and use a card reader on your computer to transfer the files, and not the Nokia supplied software. I found that you can copy the files over using the Nokia software, they will appear to be fine, but they will still not work.
the second I used the card reader, everything was fine.

Hi Danny
I got it to work by opening Explorer on my laptop. Opening the latest camera download form here. Then opening the ov2 and bmp file. Then transferring each file individually into my TomTom Mobile GB Maps on my MMC card ( through my card reader), and chooosing ok each time it asked if I wanted to replace the original file. Worked first time doing it this way.

Are you sure you didn't tick the 'warn only when on route' box? If you did then you only receive an alert if the camera is on an active route i.e.
