On auctions for this received it says things like can be made to work with TomTom mobile, how easy is this ? I'm tempted by the long use time (ie 20 hours) which the TomTom one I have dosen't come anywhere near.

Advice for you more experiance folks please ?

That's right, newer versions of TTM can use any BT GPS receiver. And even the old version can get it to work when you rename your receiver to "TomTom Wireless GPS" in the BT discovery process.

It is the older version of Mobile we have , ie not version 5 sadly I didn't know that was on the way Sad

BT=Blue tooth, eg in the connectivity area you give it a short name and I call it "TomTom Wireless GPS" and do I need to restart the 6600 in any way ? Sorry for all these questions. I thoight this would be ideal for my parents, but the set up at least is well beyond them. I'm hoping they will get to grips with it soon, I keep trying to get them to do it even on journeys they know, just to get used to it. So far I'm impressed by TomTom apart from the very precise address issue
