No satellite singnal

No satellite singnal unit plugged in but can not obtain a signal...

All plugged in there is a green light on the mount and on the satellite receiver unit has been plugged in the car for approx 3 hours still unit still stating GPS position unreliable

running Tom Tom 3 on a HP IPAQ HX 4700 and a Silver power mount wired system

What car do you have? It may have an athermic windscreen - these front windscreens have an ultra thin film of silver (you can't see it!) running through your windscreen to reflect away UV rays from the sun. Good news for your car's interior, bad news for any GPS based system because it blocks the GPS signal to the antennae.

Try taking the GPS mouse outside the car so it it sees a claer sight of the sky.

no my winscreen is not heat reflecting it is a land rover 1996 discovery model i have tried to get a singnal by placing the GPS out side of the car (car was parked at the time) Still No satellite singnal the verision i am using is V3.07 all setting on PDA are correct
