Which Checkpoint Version? (and a POIPlace question)

Hi,

I've seen a lot of posts recommending v2.02 over v3.x because the earlier v3.x's didn't work very well.

1) What's the latest news on this - stick with v2.02 or go for v3.x?

2) The Checkpoint review says about the new POIPlace feature in v3.x - this sounds good but it says at the end that any POI's you create will be uploaded - is there any way to stop this? - i.e create some POI's which are not uploaded - I want to be able to add POI's for all my friends houses which I obviously do not want to share with the world!

3) Can POIPlace be used at the same time as POI-Edit/POI-Sync?
