I have installed gpsassist with the latest DB form pocket gps. I notice some local cameras are missing. How do I:
a) get them in the DB or
b) install them in the POI? _________________ Graham |

Graham,
best thing to do is to use a tool like POIEdit. This PC tool will allow you to add a POI into your DB
- Take the OV2 file and open it with POIEdit
- Add the new coordinate
- Save the OV2 file
- Install the new OV2 file on your PPC
Note that the POI management will have some added features wich will also enable you to add new POIs into POI databases without having to use the POI recorder.
Thanks,
Jo.

Graham,
I forgot this. An easier way is to use POIEdit and create an OV2 file with just the new local cameras in it. THen copy it to your PPC, start GPSAssist and activate the new (temporary) OV2 File. With the POI Manager you can simply move those new points into your standard camera database.
Cheers,
Jo.

Graham,
I'm not sure what you mean with your question.
You can find POIEdit at http://www.dnote.nl/pda/poi/PoiEdit/
Cheers,
Jo.

Graham,
Use PocketGPS v1.042 as this is the most up-to-date database.

Thanks Richard I have installed that version.
Thanks Jo, now downloaded POIEdit. Since installing GPSAssist thigs don't seem as smooth. It takes an age for it to load TTN and oddthings happen like the sound is disabled or the night display is on although sunrise and sunset is active. Also switching with hard buttons dosen't seem to work. Is it the 3970 or TTN2 compatibility with GPSAssist? _________________ Graham |
