you can now download the tomtom go update so i cant see it being that far away, maybe end of this month or next month.

There was a post here some place saying that someone had recieved a email from TomTom saying the upgrade info would be up on their site sometime this week.
No mention of when it would be available but at least the info will be up. I am waiting for this as I need Euro maps in ealry May (most likely still be TT3 then I think). Dont really want to pay to upgrade them to TT5 a few weeks later if at all possible.

I was talking to one of the TomTom directors last week and was told that the upgrade was imminent (next 1-2 weeks). I would not make any plans based on that info though as software updating is notorious for delays. The upgrade will also involve distribution of CDs so there will be the process of proof of product and media exchange involved.

There was indeed, by me :-)
TomToms response (last week) was "We can not confirm too many details for you now as TomTom is still finalizing some of the details of the upgrade, however we can inform you that there will be more information on our website next week regarding the upgrades etc. If you buy TomTom Navigator 3 now you will not necessarily receive a free upgrade so we would advise you to keep an eye on our website in the next week and basically read through the information thoroughly. Please contact us if you have any further queries." |
