Trip Planner

Am I right in saying that it isn't possible to view a route via the "Trip Planner" if the GPS unit isn't actually in the same country? I'm trying to sort out a route in France that I plan to take next month. It just tells me that I can't drive all the way from England if I use somewhere here as the starting point (that's a surprise) or that the starting point isn't valid if I use somewhere in France. The only way I can get near to it is by viewing each leg separately by choosing "Show" > "Set as Start Location" > ......."Show" > "Navigate to".

You should be able to use the "set Start Location", then select the trip planner and press GO.
