Buying a pre registered version of tomtom 3

I am looking at buying a complete GPS pocket pc with Tomtom pre installed. The copy of tomtom has been already registered with the current owner. If I buy the system will the fact it has been registered affect me and will I be able to register the product in my name.

The seller should be able to logon to TomTom's site and alter the contact details, i.e. the contact email. The product code should already by stored on their site. I can see no reason why this would not be legal.

I think you need to ask if the seller is going to continue using the software on another PDA, and is he keeping the disk. If you are buying his old PDA with the software installed, then make sure you have a good back-up.
