Would appreciate some help from anyone.

Have a Globalsat BR305 serial GPS receiver, running off a car-charger, providing valid displayed satellite data to my PDA, a Fujitsu Siemens LOOX 420. However, cannot get TomTom 3 to acknowledge this data. Have switched off the IR beam setting also. TomTom Tech Support advise, as expected, the LOOX 420 has not been tested but try 'TomTom GPS' and 'SERIAL PORT COM1' but port not recognised.

Can anyone advise the correct combination of 'COM PORTS' between the BR305 and the TomTom 3 GPS settings ?

How do you know? Have you used a GPS tool like Crux_View?

Latititude and Longitude appear correct. Can Crux_View confirm the 3D positioning is correct. If it wasn't, then would this explain why the GPS is not communicating with TT3 rather than the setup of the COM ports ?
