If in Autoroute 2005 you start from Europort Rotterdam to Assamstadt in Germany, the route it tells you to take is via North Sea Ferries to Hull, drive to Dover, over the channel to Calais then via Belgium to Germany. A 3 day journey 8O on what should take about 6 hours. This is the same route shown if you also use Route 66. Does anybody know why they should plot such a rediculous route. _________________ Mio P550 Mio 3 TTN 6 2GB SD Card, Ipaq 5450: Integral 1Gb SD card, TTN 6, POICapture, PPC 2003 |

Yup that's a good one - here is another for you - online one this time
Have a look at the latest Microsoft route planning technology. Go to
http://mappoint.msn.com/(cjv4swnkjogsd545jh34ap55)/DirectionsFind.aspx
Start: Norway, city Haugesund
End: Norway, city Trondheim
Then press "Get Directions" and lean back for a nice chuckle
Sorry I have no answer to your question as to why

Cancel that one - it seems they've fixed it
It used to route you to Newcastle and then down to Dover and then all the way through the continent back up to Norway
Shame - it was quite amusing
Sorry |
