Can you use the wired TomTom GPS with another aplication?

I have both tomtom navigator and copilot live 4 with the tomtom bluetooth gps. I have not been able to get to share the tomtom bluetooth gps with coliplot live 4. (I even tried the GPS drive 2.06 and 2.07)

so I purchased the tomtom wired gps, and I am hopping it will let me use that gps with copilot live 4. is this possible or did I just waste 100.00?

yes, you can use the wired GPS receiver with CoPilot, but you should also be able to use the BT receiver with both programs (alternatively of course).

Did you follow our instructions, and if so, where does your reality differ?

where do I get the instructions?

I basicly uninstalled the old one and installed 2.07.
then when I opened copilot again and went to auto scan after a minute or so it says auto scan failed. then I manually tried every com port and the same thing.

WOW!
talk about complete!
I was uninstalling it twice! I get my Wired GPS on monday I will try these instructions tommorow. I hope the wired version does not give me any problems because I am planning a trip this summer from NJ to California and back, and I need both softwares. (Copilot lets me load the hole trip tomtom does not)
Did I mention I am taking this trip on a Harley? that is the tough part.

got my tomtom wired antenna yesterday and it does work with Copilot Live 4.

on another note, I have not used copilot live 4 in a while and I forgot how ugly the interface is. tomtom has it's faults but all in all it is not a bad little program. I just hope the upgrade is free. Us yanks have to wait and see.
