pda amplified speaker mount interference

Hi,

i just bought a Mitac amplified speaker mount and im getting alot of interference coming through its speaker.

PDA is an XDA

Is this common with all amplified mounts or is this faulty one you think?

I have an amplified mount to, and I think the interference you refer to is the same as you might get through a radio if you put a mobile phone near it.
This is not a fault, its just an amplified speaker will pick up the phones signal every now and then and this will be heard as a series of beeps.

I use a Holux CR100 amplified mount and there is no trace of any interference, even with the volume fully up

The noises are permantely there. They disappear if i unplug the pda from its cradle (whilst still leaving in the cradle - just not connected) or if i disconnect the audio lead from the pdas headphone socket to the mounts speaker.
