Problems with upgrading to a 6012 from a 6010

My 6010 was nicked from my car when it was broken into recently.... (It wont be of any use to whoever did it, as in their haste to remove it they managed to snap the cable an leave me with just the PS/2 connector and about 10cms of cable)

I recently purchased a 6120 off ebay, well it doesnt seem to work... I have selected the NMEA0183V2 driver at 4600 and in GPS Status get the little satelite dish showing its sending, The 6012's LED flashes but thats it, It doesnt eem to be able to get a lock. Any thoughts?

from what I can tell from the stickys the 6012 was a troublesome unit that was disscontinued in Nove 2003 and replaced with the enhanced 6010 (talk about a confusing number scheme)

i am new to this forum. I have bought a Rikaline 6012 over ebay and i got it today. Before that i had a holux gps mous, but it doesnt work anymore. Now i try to get this working, but i couldnt! can anyone help me please?
