i couldn't belive what i saw in the geneva motor show. so i checked and it's true, the navigation pack of the new toyota aygo is a tomtom aygo.

Just a TomTom GO mounted into the car. Looks like a good idea! Especially if they supply all the power leads etc to wire it all in neatly.
I wonder if they also rig it with an external antenna? |

seems true, and it is interfaced with the radio. but what i am hoping they do is a PDA cradle wired to the battery, to an external GPS receiver, radio, and gyro, much like OEM navigation systems. i am convinced that PDA based navigation is better than fixed. with permanent in car navigation, you would need to be in the car to plan your trip.

| I work in a Toyota Dealership and can confirm that Aygo will have an optional Tom Tom fitment. Details are a bit sketchy but the photo posted is the end product. |
