I have installed tom tom and have connected everything up but i still get an unreliable gps position and my x5 keeps locking up. can anyone help?

is it bluetooth or tomtom cabled?
What com ports do you have it on?
(click on start, tomtom GPS, GPS and you will see the selected ports in the top 2 boxes)
