Hi everyone, I'm a bit of a novice a real old one but still a novice,but have managed to download speed ,sorry safety camera data with spoken warnings ,but the warnings dont work unless I have the sound activated,and that can be very anoying if you dont need the directions , can anyone tell me were I have gone wrong ,pretty please!!!!!!!

You can't turn off the directions and keep the speed warnings.

But you can just clear any planned route and leave the TTG switched on. No route = No spoken directions, but the warnings still happen.

Provided you haven't ticked "Warn only if on route" box (because you haven't got a route there isn't one to warn you on!).
