Places/Streets not in address search but on map?

Can anyone please help me understand why I fail to find addresses using the search function, but when use multimap etc to find loaction and use map/cursor in TomTom, I can see the street names, but cant locate them in search function?

This is very frustrating...

The spelling of the street may be different in TomTom from what you expect, or it is in a different city/zip than you think it is. Unfortunately TomTom will not allow to search just by street.
