When I saw the new look of the V3 version as shown on the Navman PIN 300, I thought that was what I would get mith my pocket PC version.

When I got the box (EU) version it had V3 on it but it still looked similar to the V2 version.
Loaded it and it still looks like the V" version, though it is definitely V£ with all the additional functionality.

Was anybody else disappointed to not get the "bluer" look?

If you want a blue look... select Ocean as the Map Colour Scheme.

More blue. It's an adjective.

When I said "blue", I was referring to the look of the ICNs, with the blue bars top and bottom. I think it look more up to date, than the existing style.

Guess it is good I am only moning about the appearance rather than some major routing problems.

I do have one other thing though. Has anybody else noticed that the female voice says "mile", rather than "miles"?

Are you sure?
The female voice on my version 3 definitely says miles?

I'm 99% sure mine says mile when the distance is les than 2 miles.

Ie she says "One and a half mile" or "Two miles"

So it's not just me then.

I'll have to update the subject and see if what others think

I can't say I've observed the effect you describe.

Unfortunately I tend to be concentrating on driving and alone in the car or concentrating on driving with multiple navigational assistants

I can't wait until I am in the passenger seat and navigating in which case I will look out for the effects you decsribe

I love the breathy "Prepare to ..." once I pass the junction Laughing Out Loud!

And the insistence "Prepare to make a U-turn" has a quiet, unassertive assertiveness that usually has a carload in stitches.

Great!

Whenever I decide to go a different way than the planned route, I would love to replace the "make a u-turn where possible" line with one that says "I bow to your superior knowledge!"

I'm convinced that my version must be different.
She (I think it's time she had a name so I will call her Sophie) always speaks in point of a mile so instead of 'one and a half mile' Sophie will say:
"In one point five miles..."

My daughter is called Sophie and she sounds nothing like Mrs. Smart!

Actually you could be right - at least regarding the 1 point 5 bit - though I'm sure that she says 1.5mile or 2.5 miles.

I'll try and listen again today!

This has been a bone of contention between my wife and myself. Wife says "She does says 'mile'" whilst I cannot be sure. To resolve difference, we have switched to the male voice - less sexier to me, but clearer and he says 'miles'.
By the way, the female is 'Mabel' and the male is 'Tom'. Really we get on quite well with both of them. They are both better than my wife's map reading. But, that's confidential. Exclamation
