Navman ICN 620 Maps

Are the SmartST3 map discs for the ICN 6xx series, model specific or will the maps run on any SmartST3 device?

For example PPC or Palm. I specifically mean the map discs and not the Application disc which of course will only work on the ICN. Someone is selling a new set of discs to update a ICN 620 from SmartST2 to SmartST3 including maps and I thought perhaps I could use the maps and Keys and put the maps in my Palm SmartST3 setup for a region I dont have? Is this do-able? My Palm ST3 maps appear not to be Palm specific.
