I got a mio 169 with sandisk 256Mb wifi card and as of yet have been unable to get the card working.

Firstly the mio couldn't see the card at all (as if it wasn't plugged in).
Then I did get a connection (briefly) so that I could use the memory but this came and went in such a way that only about once in 20 insertions of the card would it see it.
At no point could it detect the wifi part!

Put it in a mates palm and its recognised immediately. (no wifi yet as there's no drivers on there but I'll try that later)

Put mates card in mine and its recognised immediately (same as my other memory card in his).

So I have one palm and one mio. 2x1Gb memory cards and a sandisk 256Mb wifi card. Everything is interchangeable except for the wifi card which the mio doesn't seem happy to detect.

A couple of times I had my 1Gb card not being recognised but this was always after I'd been failing to get sandisk to work, ended up going a battery off reset Sad

Any ideas?

Try installing the drivers for the WiFi card as I believe they also install a driver for the memory access part of the card across the SDIO bus.

Thanks for the reply crankyman. Looks like there is something in that. I didn't read your reply until this morning but I got it working last night anyway.

I first worked out that the only reliable way for the card to be seen was if I put it in and then soft rebooted (the button on the side of the mio). Then on boot up it was found every time (well the 2 that I tried it). I then re-formatted the card and installed the drivers. And it all worked. although it did crash the pda when I removed the card (once) but after that it seems much more reliable.

Didn't get a great deal of time to try inserting/removing the card last night but I there are any other problems I will post (with the answers if I find them).
