What is the policy for displaying speed cameras? There seems to be one camera icon on TTG where there is in fact a pair of cameras on opposite sides of a wide dual carriageway.

Is this as intended, or should I report it as an error / new camera?

I have zoomed in to the closest view and I can only see one icon and one Gatso number when clicked. Camera in question is Gatso:3980@40. It has a companion exactly opposite on the northbound carriageway - same speed limit.

Same applies to Gatso:525, but it may not be exactly opposite in this case.

Hi sgould,

If the pair of cameras are on a single carriageway (i.e. two way road) then I’d say just submit the one camera.

If the pair is on opposite sides of a dual carriageway (i.e. road with a central reservation) then I’d submit both cameras of the pair. This would be useful for people who use the “warn only on route” facility of TomTom’s Proximity Alert.

If you do submit both cameras on opposite sides of a dual carriageway then please warn Richard (Oldie) when you submit them.

By the way, I’ve moved this thread to the camera database forum as the database is for everybody and not just TTGo users. ;)

Please don’t forget to include the camera’s speed limit as well as its location coordinates.

Regards,

Just to make things a bit more difficult I have actually just been past Gatso:3980 again. The road at this point is not actually dual carriageway, but it is 4 lanes (2 each way) and the central reservation /dual carriageway starts a short distance further on - 100 yds or so.

I will be passing gatso:525 again sometime next week.
