Hi Almahadeus

WHY NOT GO HERE http://www.rayflanagan.co.uk/poiew.html and double the available alert sounds on your go? Rolling Eyes

Update. used Ray's software to extract the sound files onto computer hard drive then amplified them and added one of the original bells before the speech using the great AUDACITY software before reinstalling them back onto the TomTom and they work a treat. :D
Thank you again nearlylost for pointing me to the right direction. Arrow

Hi I was wondering if you could help me..
I have downloaded your wonderful speaking alerts for speed cameras but I don't understand how the alerts know to warn for the different types of cameras.
I have downloaded the speed camera database from this site and chose to install the single file version, so if I can only choose one alert for this POI how can it tell me which cameras are Gatso40 and which are mobile 30 for example?

Is there files for each seperate type of camera that I am unaware of??

Thank You for any help, i'm quite new to this so sorry if I have missed something really obvious.

Thank You,
Sarah

I agree with almahadeus it is a shame that the speed camera warnings overwrite the original sounds, isn't there a way you could somehow leave a few of thos wornings in??

Ray's software looks great but sadly it doesn't seem to be compatible with Tom Tom mobile which is what I am using :S Does anybody know of another piece of software like that which will work for Tom Tom Mobile 5??

Thanks Again
Sarah

Hi,
The single file is just that one file containing all the speed camera database there is no differentiating between the types of camera.
To be alerted with a different warning for each type of camera you need to remove the single file you have downloaded then download all the individual camera POI's (30 40 50 60 70 gatso mobile etc ) along with there bitmaps The files you need depends on the system you are using. You will need to associate a warning for each file. A read on this forum will give you more complete instruction

Don't worry your post helped! I had only seen the files labelled Gatso and Mobile but I have now found that there are seperate files for each speed limit so i'm good....:D

Thank You :D

All I found were the ones with the computerised american accent. I didn't like them and thought my files were way nicer. Laughing

Hi,
your link goes to poi warning voices designed to replace bells whistles and moos, mine goes to voices to give directions to replace jane and others.
they sound much more human than the default ones on the go.
Make a folder on the root directory of your Tomtom go and call it voices if there is one already there just use that. From memory I unzipped the files straight to the folder on my go but you could unzip to a temp folder on your pc than drag and drop or paste and copy to your go voice folder.
If you want to be really posh you can use the same poi and direction voice for seamless instructions and warnings
Please let me know what you think
