Help with SPV M2000/XDAIIi USB/Serial port issue

Hi there

I've just bought an Orange SPV M2000; I am currently using an iPAQ to run Tom Tom 3 using a Haicom wired GPS solution. For cheapness I have bought a replacement Y-cable from Spotlight Guides to save the expense of a bluetooth receiver. Plus, I have a bluetooth carkit which I'll be using the M2000 with.

Problem is, I cannot get the Tom Tom GPS software to 'see' the incoming data from the GPS mouse.

I rember having this problem with an old Toshiba e740 about a year ago, and I had to install a virtual serial port driver so that the USB port would accept serial input; I obtained this driver from the Toshiba website.

I'm assuming that I'll need to do the same for the M2000, but a quick bit of googling hasn't helped.

Can anyone out there help me get this lot working together?
