Tomtom maps & segment sizes

How big are the tomtom map segments? can you define your own area or do you have to use preset "chunks"

How much memory would be needed to hold the maps for say. Birmingham to Dover, calais to Paris, and calais to brussells?

Could it all fit on a 128mb card?

you can choose between various precut junks. 16 MB, 32 mB, 64 MB, or countries/ country combinations. For example Germany plus Austria plus Switzerland is 239 MB

Maps are cut to be smaller than 256 MB cards. You will run into problems if all you have is a 128 MB card. Maybe three 32 MB maps will do, maybe not.

TomTom 3 will come with a Major Roads of Europe map at 56 MB.
