RBT-1000: power on, but no LEDs

I've just bought an RBT-1000 and am having some issues (!). I can charge the unit via the car charger (yellow LED shows). But when I switch it on, no lights come on (e.g. the green power/signal LED).

Strangely enough, in this state I can still detect and pair with the device (no BT LED), and "connect" a COM port - although no NMEA data will flow and the config application will not connect.

Any clues, or have I just got a dud unit? Thanks!!

I had exactly the same, its a dud.

Mine worked for a few hours, then i turned it on while plugged in. Shouldnt be a problem but it blew the device. Could pair but it wouldnt work.

Dud unit, take it back.

Got a new one now and all works great.
