Hi,

I have my SOC bluetooth GPS plus XtraII working fine with my TT3 software.

In the TomTom GPS software I have it set to 'SysOnChip Serial GPS'. In the SOC manual it says to set to NMEA baud rate 38400. Other options in the software include many SiRF options and a SysOnChip GPS CF plus option. They all seem to work but wondered if it would be advantageous to use one over the other.

Do I set it as it says in the manual? Do I set it as the CF plus (as I have a plus but not a CF)? Do I set it on one of the SiRF options to maybe benefit from power saving (if I’ve read correctly in other posts) or should I leave it as is Rolling Eyes

Thanks

Arghhh! Why does everybody feel compelled to play around with the connection settings?

Your receiver is a BT receiver, using a certain COM port. It is best to specify this COM port directly. Let's assume the BT outgoing Port is COM8 then you would set the GPS driver to Standard NMEA 38400 at COM8. Unless absolutely necessary do NOT use any of the "special" settings that the TomTom folks have invented.

The power save settings and the SBAS support have to be set directly at the receiver - the TomTom GPS driver has nothing to do with that.
