It's pbvious - Bill has bought a couple of ferry companies with the small change he found down the back of the sofa, and has bundled the booking software with the navigation site! |

I think all the above posters have missed the point. Autoroute is a very fine software. Driving in Norway is a difficult =. The funny part is the driving through Belgium HA HA , The fastest route would be - France - Budapest - Minsk - Stockholm - Trondheim. Much less traffic, better driving experience and no snow !!

But seriously people - what is this all about - or is this just a major glitch ???
Great original post but a major flaw in the software.

Yeah, but this microsoft journey planner is FREE. :o
CoPilot charge you 130 quid for the privilege of producing routes like the one from London to Dublin. It takes you up to Stranraer in Scotland, over to Belfast and then down to Dublin. A 584 mile journey rather than 336 miles via Holyhead. _________________ Gone fishing! |

If they had been using Autoroute 2005 they still wouldn't have found the M6 Toll Road (for example).
So it's not just the GPS manufacturers who have problems with integrating up-to-date map data and paying for it, it seems ...

this is caused by Norway being so far north, the "Angel of the North" is affecting the magnectic north pole. Thus the GPS satellites see Norway nearer to Newcastle, than previously thought. So, if they turn the "Angel of the North" 90 degrees, eastward, this should put Norway back where it belongs.

Welcome to Norway...
I read a similar article about this error for over a year ago. This has obviously not been fixed yet.
There actually is missing a part of E134 between Røldal and Haukelidgrend, witch would be a natural part of the route. Maybe that’s where this piece of software gets its hiccups. _________________ Gunnar Nystul, Forum Admin, TomTom Forum Norway and Nystul Navigasjon |
