Santa was kind enough to leave me Medion 95000 fron aldi this year under the tree.the unit works fine as long as power unit is connected to it but internal battery won't charge up no lights nothing
suspect it is battery that is no good.
Phoned the medion support four times no answer emails sent three times no answer.
any advice before I return to aldi and have to wait god knows how many months for replacement as aldi ahve already said they have none in stock
Best Regards

Hi and welcome, clearly if fully charged the unit should be able to run on battery hour for at least a couple of hours so something is amiss
Whilst Aldi have a superb deal on these bundles the main problem is when things go wrong as they don't hold stock and so can only offer refunds. Unless Medion UK can help with a replacement battery (assuming it is this and not the charge circuit that is at fault) then I don't know what else to suggest. _________________ Darren Griffin

It doesn't have a battery On/Off switch, like the Navman iCN510, does it? _________________ Tim |

I've deleted the double post.
Assuming this hardware doesn't have a user removable battery, there's probably very little you can do. Do you see any evidence of a battery in Start Menu, Settings, System tab, Power (look in the first tab)?

Hi
thanks for your help so far I ahve checked the battery setting and it says it is charging.
I have had it on charge for 48 hours and still no indication that it is charging up so I assuming it is a duff battery.
Regards

I don't know how much the Medion's were sold for but Global Positioning have Mitac 168 Bundles with tomTom for £320 which is pretty good. Better software as well! _________________ Darren Griffin |
