After a complete reinstall after a hard-reset (see other thread in this forum about disappearing roads) I decided to upgrade to the latest version (ending with ".22")

Since upgrading, CoPilot has lost its voice completely. I use the male speech synthesizer, and this has stopped talking...

I've also noticed that on screen, motorway junctions are now called "exits", and roundabouts are now called "circles".

Other than these three changes (the lost voice is the most annoying), everthing else is working fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Darren.

To change the american versioning you will need to browse to the CoPilot installed directory on the Pocket PC using ActiveSync, copy the Language.cfg to your PC and edit it in notepage. Change the language to UK or GB I think, then copy it back and this should set it back to UK roundabouts.

The TTS not working is a known problem and re-installing the TTS Engine, or re-running setup again will install it the second time round. This is a known bug unfortunately.

Thanks for the reply - especially as it was on Christmas Day! Smile

I'm several hundred miles from "base" at the moment so it will be a few days before I get a chance to try these out...

Meanwhile, can anyone recommend a free downloadable text editor that I can install directly onto my iPAQ 4150, without needing a PC?

Many thanks,
Darren.

If you rename the file extension to .txt, you should be open and edit the file in Pocket Word - then rename it back.

Keep a backup, though, in case Pocket Word trashes the file somehow and leaves you without any navigation!
