|
|
Hi there. I upgraded my Co-Pilot 3.5 on an iPaq 3970 recently to ver 4.0 with European map upgrade. Then I bought a new HP4150 and have now migrated the software to the new machine. But the sleeve GPS does abviously not work on the little 4150 so I bought a TOMTOM Bluetooth GPS.
NOW: going to the ALK website support they say:
1. Launch CoPilot Live on your Pocket PC (Tap on "Start --> CoPilot Live")
2. In the "Tools" menu, tap "Options" and select the "GPS" tab
3. In the "GPS Com Port and Baud Rate" section, select the COM port and Baud Rate as provided by your GPS manufacturer. If you do not know this information, tap the "Auto Scan" button and CoPilot Live will search all available ports for your receiver.
Auto Scan got me nowhere. And I know the GPS is licked to the 4150 as the TOMTOM software works AND the blue light stops flashing as it connects.
MY QUESTION: What is the TOMTOM's COM port and BAUD rate settings please to make it work with my Co-Pilot? |

You may want to read This Article.
TomTom when installed prevents other 3rd party apps from accessing the BT Serial Port. The article above shows you how to fix this _________________ Darren Griffin |

Fantastic! That article was EXACTLY what I wanted. [I could not find it doing a search though... maybe you should make it easier to find?! ]
Anyway: BOTH TomTom and Co-Pilot now live happily together on the same machine!

Excellent and thanks for coming back to let me know it resolved your issue. I'll look at getting that article more visible as well! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Pleasure... You won't respond so well if you did not know it helped! So hence me saying it did. |
