New to all this.Bought mio168 with copilot5.
Advertised as having SPEED CAM ,Unless I am missing somethimg somewhere there is no speed cam warning system installed.I have come to the conclussion that it can be downloaded from this website only.
O.K. I will put up with that but having spent best part of a morning trying to make sense of the download instructions.I give up.
It says I should see a. XLS file in the download...no such file in the unzipped list. Then mention of selecting a worksheet in Excel.I do not have Excel installed on my PC.I can imagine many people with just basic pc knowledge experiencing the same hassle. One of the main reasons for buying this product was the speed cam inclusion.I have been misled again by marketing ploys.
This forum is my last effort before I re purchase my a to z' s.
If anyone can help,I would really appreciate it. thanks. richard

lulu it does have speed cameras intsalled to activate the warning you need to use the text to speech instead of the wav files ive not had chance to sort the camras on my version yet as i havent had time to play with it and dont yet have excel but it can be done hang on im sure one of the othe members or team will be able to help you out as for returning it id hang on as it still a useful navigation tool and lot lighter than carrying a box A 2 Z's around i know trust me.

when you put the maps onto the sd card and create quickstart you are asked whether you want tts male voice (this one will tell you street names) or prerecorded wav files (will just say thing like in 100 meters turn left) if you want to change the speach you will need to make a new card so deleate the old data you have and reinstall the uk maps make sure quick start is checked then copy the map to the sd card
ive not done this for a while so may have missed a couple of steps out

To download camera data you don't actually need Excel.

The instructions just say an Excel file. Unzip the download to a spare directory, then import the Excel file created as a .csv file, there is another normal .xls file but ignore that.

Then when you have allocated the columns to the correct data (ie name, lat, long) you should continue with the instructions as printed.

Hope that helps
