Ive been using TomTom for over a year with my Ipaq 2210, TT2 was good and version 3 is stable on my ipaq with gps 3.03, however, due to the amount of issues I had with the ipaq an TT I have just upgraded to an X50v. I installed version 3.07 and the gps driver and it connects to my bluetooth tomtom gps but does not get a signale, neither does 3.03 gps, or 2.07, can anyone help me please?

GPS is set to use com port 8

Thanks

Gareth

You should try to isolate you BT comms problem before you install TTN3. See if your receiver works with the Crux_View or Winfast diagnosis tools

I sorted the issues, it requires com port 7 not 8 as the ipaq did.. Just need to find a car mount for it now as my Arkon mutlimedia one isn't going to be compatible.

Thanks for the help.

I just got my X50V also and I am having problems also. How do you change from com 8 to com 7 ?.

Did you get the 3D games pack from Dell ? coz I did not and they are being soooo difficult. I promised myself along time ago I would not order from Dell again but the X50V was such a good deal.

Regards

Hi,

Yes I got the game CD and they are good to show off the 16MB graphics card but not that good to play. You are better off putting ROMs on it if you want to play on it.

You change to com port 7 by opening up TomTom gps, then clicking the gps tab, then uncheck the tick box, select com port 7 then re-check the tick box. Now you should be OK.

Have you found a powered car mount for it yet, or a better case?

Thanks for that. At last got the Tom Tom Bluetooth working. Wicked.

Now all I need is a bloody car adapter for the thing.

Ass.

There is another thread on here related to x50 mounts. I just posted my thoughts in it. In short, I am waiting for the x50/x50v specific seidio G2500 mount. It is supposed to be out this month.

See the other thread....
