Interesting, that's the very technique that GPS is meant to be most resistant too - i.e. a noise generator on the basic GPS frequency.

It could be he's quoting a theoretical design, rather than a tested one.

Anyone with a microwave signal generator that can be modulated could probably set up something equivalent and verify if it works or not.

Maybe the front end in the low cost GPS swamp easily and such a simple technique is effective - bad news if it is - blockers could become commonplace.

Read all the links and still not convinced that this device will work apart from very close range - article also does not convey how difficult it is to build electronics working above 1 GHz.

Would like to hear an opinion from an experienced RF engineer with extensive experience of designing GPS receivers - not those talking head so called experts.
