Question
OK, I'm really, really new to this. But I think I've decided on a Navman GPS4420 because its a whole lot cheaper than the GPS4410 - and I can't see any difference.

The only fly in the ointment is whether I can get the Speed camera database POI into it or is that just for TomToms? I'm very confused about the SmartST Pro version numbers and I think the new? version 2 is not supported. Can anyone clarify, please.

I'll be lashing it up to my iPAC 5550 with a 512MB SD card

Thanks in advance

Hi

I would hold off from the 4420 (unless you can return it for a full refund if you are not satisfied with it) as it has not officially been announced by Navman so the descriptions and pricing could be wrong, and I personally can't see them offering the BT receiver and V3 software at a cheaper price than the current 4410 with BT receiver and V2 software.

Then again the 4420 may have single region maps to reduce the price or retailers may be discounting it therefore proving me wrong...

The *new* Smart STv3 software IS compatible with the safety camera database, Version 2 is not.
