Since updating to the new camera database, all the camera .bmp files are showing as distored yellow and black squiggles except for the temp cams.

Any ideas ?

The GATSO and MOBILE BMP's are displaying fine on mine on TTN3, so I think you've probably corrupted the images when you've extracted them from the ZIP file or perhaps you've undocked/ejected the SD card before it had completed writing to the card ?

I can open the .bmp under windows ok, they just are not showing up correctly on the device.

I have deleted and reloaded a couple of times, I will try deleting and re-downloading the file to see if that helps.

Cheers

It's not a corrupted file, as it happens to me, too. I mentioned it to Oldie earlier. As a workaround, I've extracted the .bmp files from the previous release over the newer ones and used those. I wonder if the file size or colour depth has something to do with it. Perhaps we're limited to a 1Kb picture? I'll try and find out in the morning.

I do not know what the problem is with the latest bitmaps Embarassed as they work fine on my TT3 iPAQ 3970 running PPC 2002.

The bitmaps were created with 8 bit (256) colour so that TomTom Go users would not have any problems( I hope that they don't). Usually icons using few colours work without a problem.

Cheers Tom, thank god I'm not alone with this one.

I re-donwloaded the file and tried again but still no good Sad

Let me know if you have any luck, I think you may be on to something with the bitmap properties as the icon for the temp cams seems to work ok and seem to be same as the previous GATSO bmp from the previous cam database.

Its a little dissapointing if the Navman has such a basic limit for the poi bmp's, come to think of it most of the poi bmp's are pretty basic.

Cheers

If you send me a Private Message with your email address in it then I will email you the bitmaps. Tim has tested them for me Smile The new ones use 16 colour bitmaps (no difference in appearance).
