|
|
Sorry, I'm not too sure which forum to post this question so I thought I would try here.
I have recently purchased a pretec pocket pc expansion pack (compact flash) and I have an iPaq 3630 but I have just realised that I will not have enough space on the iPaq for the map software so I will need another expansion slot.
I have seen a couple of cf expasion jackets but not a double one. Does anyone know if such a thing exists? Or if you can suggest an alternative solution? |

Hey that might work. I'm not bothered about bulk as it will sit in the car the whole time. I presume I would need 2x pcmcia/cf adapters? 1 for the gps and one for a mem card? |

Yes, you need two adapters for this to work. But they are dirt cheap, less than 5 GBP i'd guess. _________________ Lutz

Hi Stu.
Another dual CF expansion jacket is available from Pitech:-
http://www.pitech.com/hardware/iCFBA/ipCFBA_index.htm
It also has an internal battery and this increases the operating time of the IPAQ.
I got one recently for my H5550 and my Syson CF sits in the top slot, with a CF card in the other.
I can use the SD slot on the IPAQ for storing other data.
You'll have to buy direct from the US and the shipping is nearly as expensive as the unit (£/$ rate works for you at the moment though).
Hope this helps. |
