Problem with CF GPS and mapsonic

Hi,

Mapsonic works great with a bluetooth gps reciever but i recently installed a Micronet CF GPS reciever and it doesnt have a COM port (I tried it up to 12 with no luck). I've tried it with tom tom and tom tom has a generic driver for CF GPS and works but I really prefer MApsonic.

Can anyone help me out? Or is this just not possible?

If TomTom finds the receiver then the CF must expose a COM port. Normally those cards come with a test program - have you tried Crux_view?

I would set the speed at 4800 and then search in the COM4 to COM6 range

If you have Winfast (Leadtek) Navigator running and you insert a CompactFlash GPS, the COM port number usually pops up on screen.
