i've been happpily running my axim 5 with tomtom3 and my ledtek internal reciever but purchased a new vehicle over the weekend.
it has slightly tinted windows and i can't pick up more than 3 satellites with the reciever so i really need and external one for it.
can anyone recommend an external for my pda?

many thanks

Does your Leadtek CF GPS have a MCX or MMCX connector?

Something like this

I assume you have a Leadtek Mouse Style GPS? If so then there is no external antenna option for that unit.

You can try re-locating the GPS to another part of the dash, often the far laft and right bottom corners are unaffected by windscreen coatings or you could use an RJ11 extension cable and re-locate the GPS to the rear window.

Alternatively a GPS re-Radiating antenna may be a solution, see here.
