Could someone tell me where it is 8O I've deleted it in error
I know the gps co-ordinates from the downloaded spreadsheet but TomtomGo doesn't appear to let me position a poi with co-ordinates, so can't use this method.
Only other way would be for me to drive around until the gps co-ords match (could take a while)
Street name and number/crossing would be very useful
Thankyou

Hi,
If you're near a computer, why not just downlowad the whole .OV2 file from this website and place it back on your TTGO?

'Cos I've made a few amendments to positions manually.
Some that I've noticed look more like red light cams (thinner grey boxes, not painted yellow), unless the newer gatsos are slimline? so don't want to undo all the work.
List being compiled to send on.....

Hi Juey,
Far enough! ;)
GATSO 959 is on the Finchley Road and Frognal Lane junction, in London. Where the Frognal Lane becomes West End Lane.
Many thanks for doing the verification and compiling a list to send in!

Thankyou
Re the list.
Am I right in thinking that a grey post 15 yrds before a set of traffic lights with an unpainted slimline gatso on top is a red light camera rather than a speed camera?
They have 'gatso' written on them, but they have to paint the speed cameras bright yellow, don't they? |

Hi Juey,
It does sound like a Red Light camera. You can check the following website (which is very useful) for help in identifying camera types:
http://www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk/lineup.htm
I think that there are two main types of Red Light Cameras, they are: “Red Light GATSO” and “Traffiphot III”. A photo and write-up of each camera type can be found here:
http://www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk/gatso02.htm
Red Light cameras don’t need to be painted a bright colour. Speed (sorry safety) cameras may or may not be painted a bright colour, depending on whether the local authority responsible has joined the netting-off scheme. Sorry I can’t remember the full details.

Excellent links, thankyou.
Yep they're the type 36 red light cameras-loads of them all over the a1/a41/north circ area.
The database has them marked, but as safetycams. |
