The Stuff and What Hi-Fi exhibition is on in London at the moment, and the tireless PocketGPSWorld.com team are covering the event.

This report is brought to you from the iLap stand.

Having done a quick wizz round there is very little PDA gear here, let alone GPS stuff. However there is tons of bits and pieces, from Mobile phones to massive 62 inch Plasma Screens showing home cinema at it's best.

More details will follow...

Click here for the Stuff Live 2004 report Rob and I had a toss up and I lost so his mug shot has pride of place to here. So Stuff Live 2004 is over for the PocketGPSWorld.com team, but is still on untill Sunday 7th November for everyone else. We had a great day at the exhibition, not a lot of GPS Gear was about, but if you are like me all sorts of techie stuff is interesting.

All the Gadgets in the top 10 Stuff rankings were on display including the iPAQ 4150 and the Orange C500. The show had a strong contingent of Mobile phone manufacturers but was lacking in the PDA arena.

The full report of what we got up to at the Stuff Exhibition can be read here.

If you are interested in us reviewing the Gizmondo then add your comments below.

Having seen the pics i wondered if he was getting a personal demonstration of a new NANO Technology GPS reciever. The sort that can be built into clothing. Even clothing as small as a bikini....Now theres a thought. Brings a whole new meaning to personal GPS....

I didn't see any of you giving the robot a cuddle Wink

If it had been closer to 1 April then I would have thought "nice one" when I saw the virtual keyboard. Did you have a chance to try it and how does it connect to the PocketPC?

Well we would have cuddled the robots, but the minders wouldnt let us anywhere near them.

Rob tried the keyboard, it is quite a strange experience.

It connects to the PDA via the serial port, interestingly the PDA demo they had running later in the day and the PDA was lying flat on the table as well. Not the ideal position to use it in, some form of stand is required to use it effectively.

The keyboards have been around a while now and i think they cost something like 99 which makes them somewhat expensive for what they are.

I do have both an Infra red Belkin keyboard and the standard HP Keyboard designed for the iPAQ. which does have a stand.

The Belkin is a little fidlly to set up at it used a Mirror to reflect the keyboard IR down onto the iPAQ but at 25 its ok.
The HP one is around 60-70 and works fine. in fact mny son used an iPAQ 3950 with the HP keyboard inb school while his arm was in plaster and he was unable to write...... he is now reluctant to give it back!

I'd much prefer my foldaway Bluetooth keyboard any day! Rather swish, works in all kinds of light and I don't need to sit at a desk to use the keyboard :D

The keyboard's out now, MobileFun already have it, but it won't work on any Windows based SmartPhone's yet, because the drivers aren't out Embarassed
