Hi people,

I am currently trying to make my own poi, which perhaps i will upload to the poi section of this site if possible

my question is

i have created a cvo file via poiedit and savd it, it now appears in tom tom, but how do i assign a bmp to it, does any one know how to do this

to the forum.

I use WinOV2 or POIConverter to create the .OV2 files which TomTom uses. I use Windows MS Paint to create the 22 x 22 pixel icons in 256 colour and save them as .BMP files.

The .OV2 and .BMP must have an identical name as each other for the same POI and they must both be stored in the same relevant map folder. If you want to use spaces then use the “_” underscore character. I.e. if you want to create a POI for Real Ale Pubs, then you will want the following files:

Real_Ale_Pub.ov2
Real_Ale_Pub.bmp
