I've just bought the Mitac Mio 168 with CP5 and it all works fine.

However, the date display on the Today screen does NOT show day of week, ie it omits the word Friday, but simply: 22 October 2004.
In the manual and all screenshots I've seen the Today screen shows: Friday 22October 2004.

Regional settings are all for UK etc. About screen says: MS Pocket PC, version 4.20.00 (build 14053).

Have I missed/overlooked a simple setting somewhere?

Unfortunately you need to select your regional settings to US to get the day of the week displayed on the Today screen........it is a bit of a bummer as i also like the day to be shown so have changed the regional settings to US, you can change the dollar to £ under the US settings by launching the keyboard and selecting it from there the only thing i do not know how to change is the measurement system from US to metric. Hope this is useful.

Many thanks for providing me with the "solution". I guess the USA rules the world even in PDAs!

It does mean that any cells formatted for currency in Excel show up in $ rather than £ but as I seldom use this I can live with it - at least I now know what day of the week it is!!
