POIedit with the Tom Tom Go ?

Could you use POIedit to edit POIs on the TTG SD card while linked via the USB cable. I realise there will be no auto sync, that's fine, but could I use the edit and append features?

ok - answered my own q by trying it. Answer is no - it looks like the built-in POIs are bundled up in one of the dat files. Don't suppose anyone has ever managed to unbundle those ?
