Tech question about tomtom receiever

I wish to purchase the new parrott bluetooth carkit ck3300 which also has the in built gps receiver, the problem is my tom tom software will only work with the supplied receiver. By using this particular kit it takes away the messy wires and charging problems associated with the current set up, is it possible to either de activate on the receiver or software this feature, am i correct in assuming its about cracking a lock code for the software.
