I'm new to the GPS world and have been browsing the forum. I just purchased a new XDA III with Bluetooth and an SDIO. I'm debating which kind of GPS to buy.

I like the new Globalsat SDIO device but have concerns about lack of memory on my device (since I have to take out my SD card). I want to load a lot of maps and/or go on long trips. I have 128MB of space but my guess is I would fill that up quick?

Bluetooth looks like a good option but the battery life is only about 8 hours. I don't really want to pack around yet another charger with me when I travel. On the other hand, if I go Bluetooth I can use my 1 GB SD card and have all the maps I want. Also, can a Bluetooth GPS remain in your pocket if your are walking around a city? Some reviews have mention you have to hang it around your neck.

Any advice?

Thanks,

personally id go with the blue tooth solution as it will leave more room for the maps as you will not have 128mb just for storage on xda a large chunck of that is used for program memory as well as storage so you will need some form of extra stroage either memory card or microdive or cf card to do the last 2 options youll need an xda backpack
