TomTom Car Kit Not powering - any ideas!

Good Morning!

I dont know if anyone can help but i am having problems with the in car kit for an axim x5 - the kit was working fine but when i got into the car yeastaday i notised that the power light has gone on the cradle and is no longer powering my pda/sat nav arial.

so being an electrician i rewired the system checked all wires but the wires are all fitted correctly.

ive been having this problem too, I emailed the customer service from where I bought my PDA, GPS and car kit bundle and they said that pulling the spring from inside the Cigarette adapter will extend it and may help, which I did and it worked. Until I got in the car last week and its stopped working again and pulling the spring isnt working now.

I also have the Dell Axim X5, looks like its a problem with them?, or just coincidence??

I emailed TomTom Support last week, and i'm now waiting for a reply

my system is directly wired into the cars electrics to the battery
dont know if this will help people respond
