I've just upgraded my H3970 to PPC2003 and also got an Emtac Trine BT GPS at the same time. The problem I have is that If I turn off the iPAQ whilst software is conencted to the GPS I have to do a soft reset to turn it on again.

This is driving me up the wall.

I don't seem to be the only person that has suffered this problem, there seem to be fixes for the H2210 and others, but HP don't have a ROM upgrade for the 3970 PPC2003.

Is there any way to fix this problem? Will reverting back to ROM 2.10 solve my problems (although it will mean that I've jsut wasted £42)?

The other thing I hate is having to specify the devise that I wish to connect to each time I start software. Is there no way that I can automatically configure it to use the same devise every time.

I'm really begining to regret buying a BT GPS (certainly one the price of the Trine!)

HELP, PLEASE.

I can confirm that reverting back to 2.10 (plus SD update) will indeed solve the problem. (Hmm, not sure you liked that statement ...)

Thanks for the quick reply, much appreciated.

Is reverting back to ROM 2.10 the only solution to this problem? Is there no patch that can be applied in RAM that will resolve it?
