Hard-ish-wire-Car solution for TT bluetooth and Palm T3

Morning,

I've been scanning the boards, but haven't come across anything yet that seems like an ideal solution.

I'd like to hard-wire in the palm cradle with a straight (not curly) wire; then to provision a longer connection from the palm cradle to the bluetooth receiver.

So I need 2 new cables, one with the voltage converter.

Is there anyone that sells kits for this?

Also - what is the recomendation on cradles for the bluetooth GPS itself? It looks like it was designed for a cradle, but I haven't seen one for sale.

Go to ebay and look for iPAQ car chargers (the older 36xx/37xx type). They also come uncurled.

As for the TT BT GPS cradle - in their infinte wisdom TomTom have decided that "nobody wants the cradle" and have stopped producing it. Pretty much your only chance is to find someone with a broken older receiver (plenty of those around) who is willing to sell you the cradle.

yeah... i really feel bad they stopped producing the gps cradle. i hope mine wouldn't fail. i wonder what would convince tomtom that it is a brilliant solution. they should at least sell it separately.
