hi-204s fault?

Hi, can anybody help? For about 4 months I have been using the Haicom 204s with a HP 2210 satnav, the gps being powered through a windscreen mounted power mount. It has been working fine until this week, following (co-incidentally I think) having the powermount hardwired.
As a parcel courier I input addresses regularly each day. I am now finding that everytime I switch off the ignition, when I switch on again the gps LED stays on for anything from about 15 seconds to 5 minutes while the gps locks onto the sat's, meanwhile I get the 'gps position unreliable' message. As the TTFF (aqusition time) is usually only a few seconds I'm wondering if the GPS mouse has become defective? The mouse is (and always has been) resting in the centre of the windscreen.
